Dr. William Curtis Kohler is the Medical Director
of the Florida Sleep Institute. Dr. Kohler earned his BA at
Oberlin College, Ohio and M.D. at the University of Florida College of
Medicine at Gainesville. Dr. Kohler is a Diplomate of the American
Board of Sleep Medicine, American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of
Electroencephalography and Neurophysiology. He is an approved
consultant in clinical hypnosis by the American Society of Clinical
Hypnosis. Dr. Kohler is also a Courtesy Clinical Associate
Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine
and an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of
South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Kohler has been involved in the field of Sleep
Medicine for over 40 years. His 1968 publication entitled "Sleep
Patterns in 2-Year Old Children" published in the Journal of
Pediatrics, was the first description of sleep in that age group.
He ahs been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and seminars, both
domestically and internationally. He has served as Chairman of the
Accreditation Committee of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since
2004.

Dr. Dennis Sorresso is a Staff Physician of
the Florida Sleep Institute. Dr. Sorresso is board certified by
the American Board of Sleep Medicine, American Board of Internal
Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr.
Sorresso earned his BS at Adelphia University, NY. and M.D. at the Penn
State University, College of Medicine, PA. He underwent Fellowship
training in Sleep Medicine at the University of Chicago, IL. |
